KnowBe4 recently began a new partnership with the Pinellas Education Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving education in Pinellas County, Florida. The partnership between KnowBe4 and the Pinellas Education Foundation aims to enhance cybersecurity education for students by creating a dedicated "workspace" at Enterprise Village. This unique aspect of the partnership highlights KnowBe4's commitment to education and the community.
Located in the heart of St. Petersburg, Florida, Enterprise Village is a 32,000-square-foot educational facility that teaches children about technology and business in a simulated community setting. The village features a variety of business models, including a bank, post office, and other retail shops, where children can learn about different aspects of entrepreneurship and business operations.
Students now have the opportunity to learn about technology and cybersecurity in a hands-on setting. The workspace has iPads with a password game students play when visiting KnowBe4 at Enterprise Village. A short training video teaches them the difference between a good and a bad password. Then they plan a game where they have to differentiate between good and bad passwords in a video game setting. At the end of the day, the top-scoring students win some KnowBe4 swag! The students gain valuable skills that will serve them well throughout their lives through their experience at Enterprise Village, and we are honored to be a part of this.
“KnowBe4 is thrilled to partner with the Pinellas Education Foundation to support Enterprise Village this year. As a Tampa Bay native, I had the privilege of participating in Enterprise Village as a child, and it remains a positive and fun core memory for me. KnowBe4 looks forward to our ongoing partnership as an opportunity to raise cybersecurity awareness for the students of Pinellas County and to support our local community.” - Kelly, VP of Global Talent Brand and Outreach
"Everyone I talk to that grew up in the Tampa Bay Area, including my wife and kids, always remembers their Enterprise Village experience. It’s really a model for the country on how to provide an intensive day of business and life skill education. Our team was honored to be a part of the KnowBe4 storefront and provide an educational game on passwords. It was really amazing to visit later in the year and see students interacting, enjoying the game, and really learning from it." - John, Chief Learning Officer
"Enterprise Village was an unforgettable experience that gave me my first 'work' experience at 10 years old. Through hands-on activities and real-life simulations, I gained practical budgeting, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills at such a young age. It was very full circle when I found out KnowBe4 is opening a workspace here. It was incredible to visit the space and to see it live in action when a group of students was visiting. I am grateful for the opportunity to be on the partnership side of Enterprise Village now that I am in my career!" - Taylor, Talent Brand Marketing Specialist
