KnowBe4 Employees Take a Personal Climate Pledge

On May 10, 2021, KnowBe4 signed The Climate Pledge, co-founded by Amazon, which calls for net zero carbon by 2040. However, even before signing that pledge, KnowBe4 employees were taking a pledge of their own - committing to our individual “Knowster Climate Pledge,” which launched on Earth Day, April 22, 2021.

A Climate pledge is a commitment that you make to show your concern about climate change, your care for the environment, and your commitment to take personal action. 

The Knowster Climate Pledge has eight categories employees can commit to, including, but not limited to, reducing different types of waste and consumption, increasing the use of reusables, following efficient energy use guidelines, composting, tree planting, and joining in local cleanups.

Within the first three weeks, over 30% of our staff across 11 nations had taken the personal Pledge. By the end of the second quarter, over 50% had taken the pledge, and over 70% of KnowBe4 employees have committed to the individual pledge as of this writing, with more signing weekly. It is our engaged employees, coupled with the commitment of our senior leadership, that has enabled KnowBe4’s sustainability program to expand so quickly and successfully. There is indeed strength in numbers.
