KnowBe4, the world’s largest security awareness training and simulated phishing platform, today announced that its CEO Stu Sjouwerman has been named as an honoree in the top management category for the SC Media 2018 Reboot Leadership Awards.
The SC Media Reboot Leadership Awards honor executive and professional leaders in the cybersecurity space for their unique, inventive and inspiring contributions that improve security, shape the industry, provide thought leadership and otherwise have a positive impact on cybersecurity.
“I’m honored to receive this award amongst so many other notable security leaders,” said Sjouwerman. “When I founded KnowBe4 eight years ago, I never imagined the recognition that the company would receive over the years. It has always been my personal goal to be the best boss people ever had.”
Sjouwerman is the founder and CEO of KnowBe4, which hosts an integrated security awareness training and simulated phishing platform used by more than 20,000 organizations across a wide prism of industries, some in highly regulated fields like healthcare, finance, energy, government and insurance. A serial entrepreneur and data security expert with more than 30 years in the IT industry, Sjouwerman has authored four books and has served as editor-in-chief of an IT security e-zine and an email newsletter distributed to over 1,000,000 IT system administrators.
“Stu is one of my favorite people in the world; and certainly the most engaging, energetic and forward-thinking managers I've ever had,” said Perry Carpenter, chief evangelist and strategy officer, KnowBe4. “Additionally, Stu has managed to build and sustain an engaging and fun corporate culture, even as we are in a sustained hyper-growth phase.
