KnowBe4 governance, risk and compliance product passes rigorous auditing process of security controls
KnowBe4, the provider of the world’s largest security awareness training and simulated phishing platform, today announced that the KnowBe4 Compliance Manager product is now SOC2 Type 1 certified. This certification involves a rigorous auditing process of an organization’s security controls.
SOC2 Type 1 is an overview of an organization’s controls. It defines criteria for managing customer data based on five trust service principles, which include security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy.
“We’re very pleased to have passed the SOC2 Type 1 examination for our KCM GRC product, as it’s an important step to ensuring that our information systems are relevant to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy,” said Brian Jack, CISO, KnowBe4. “Nothing is more critical to us than protecting our customers, so they can in turn better protect their organizations.”
The KnowBe4 Compliance Manager was recently evolved into a comprehensive governance, risk and compliance platform. The KCM risk management workflow is simple: identify the risk, respond to the risk and monitor the risk. The KCM risk workflow is based on the well-recognized NIST 800-30 and integrates with the compliance features by allowing compliance or audit gaps to be escalated to the risk register. It identifies, assesses and monitors risk as well as gaps within organizations’ security programs.
