Great Place To Work Singapore recognizes KnowBe4’s welcoming and fun company culture
KnowBe4, the provider of the world’s largest security awareness training and simulated phishing platform, has been awarded as one of Singapore’s Best WorkplacesTM in Technology. In total 33 workplaces over four different categories, micro, small, media and large, have been ranked as Singapore’s Best Workplaces in Technology according to research and consulting firm, Great Place To Work® Singapore. KnowBe4 received the award from Guest-of-Honour of the event, Minister for Communications and Information and Second Minister for Home Affairs, Mrs Josephine Teo.
The Singapore’s Best Workplaces list is highly competitive. Great Place To Work, the global authority on workplace culture, selected the list using rigorous analytics and confidential employee feedback. Companies were only considered if they are a Great Place to Work Certified™ organization.
Only companies who attain at least 65% on Great Place To Work’s Trust Index© Survey can attain the Certification. Great Place To Work is the only company culture award in the world that selects winners based on how fairly employees are treated and what their workplace experience is like. Companies are assessed on how well they are creating a great employee experience that cuts across race, gender, age, disability status, or any aspect of who employees are or what their role is. In the Great Place to Work survey, 90% of KnowBe4’s employees said KnowBe4 is a great place to work. This number is 37% higher than the average global company.
Managing Director of Great Place To Work ASEAN and ANZ, Ms Evelyn Kwek said, “We are pleased to see the community of Certified companies expand as we award 33 Best Workplaces in Tech this year, a considerable increase from only 10 companies in 2021. This is an encouraging signal that more companies are placing an emphasis on building a positive workplace culture. I am also delighted to see our Best Workplaces nominate female mentors for the new mentorship programme, GRowing in Tech (GRIT). We thank you for your show of commitment through supporting GRIT to nurture tech talent among women.”
“As a technology organization, KnowBe4 works hard to ensure the satisfaction of not only our customers but also our employees,” said Ani Banerjee, CHRO, KnowBe4. We take pride in fostering a workplace environment that is fun, transparent and fulfilling where our employees feel supported and have the opportunity to grow in their careers. Our Singapore office is small but mighty and plays an instrumental role in the APAC region and our overall success. We are grateful to the amazing employees in that office for contributing to make us a great place to work.”

About Great Place To Work Certification
Great Place To Work Certification is the most definitive “employer-of-choice” recognition that companies aspire to achieve. It is the only recognition based entirely on what employees report about their workplace experience – specifically, how consistently they experience a high-trust workplace. Great Place To Work Certification is recognized worldwide by employees and employers alike and is the global benchmark for identifying and recognizing outstanding employee experience. Every year, more than 10,000 companies across 97 countries apply to be Great Place To Work Certified.
How Great Place To Work determines the Best Workplaces List in Singapore
Great Place To Work identified the Best Workplaces by analyzing companies’ workplace programs and surveying all their employees in Singapore (for companies with a staff strength of less than 5,000) about the key factors that create great workplaces for all.
Employees are invited to respond to 60 survey questions describing the extent to which their organization creates a great place to work For All™, meaning that the company empowers all individuals to reach their full human potential. 85% of the evaluation is based on what employees report about their experiences of trust and reaching their full human potential as part of their organization, no matter who they are or what they do. We analyze these experiences relative to each organization’s size, workforce make up, and what’s typical in their industry and region. The remainder of the evaluation is an assessment of all employees’ daily experiences of the company’s values, people’s ability to contribute new ideas, and the effectiveness of their leaders to ensure they’re consistently experienced.
To ensure surveys truly represent all employees, we require enough people in each organization to respond that results are accurate to a 95% confidence level and 5% margin of error or better. We review any anomalies in survey responses, news and financial performance to ensure there aren’t any extraordinary reasons to believe we couldn’t trust a company’s survey results.
