She also led the effort to hire its first VP of global diversity and engagement to spearhead and expand efforts across the globe. The Jumpstart Program was a project that Lance undertook to help provide technical careers to members of underrepresented and underserved communities with little or no experience. Lance also works closely with organizations like the National Diversity Council (NDC) and Empath Partners In Care on various DEI initiatives.
“Erika’s commitment to helping us build a truly diverse and inclusive organization is absolutely impressive and worthy of recognition,” said Stu Sjouwerman, CEO, KnowBe4. “She is one of those leaders who uses her influence to implement positive changes and encourages her team to think outside of the box to come up with new ideas for benefits and other resources that employees from all backgrounds will value. KnowBe4 is lucky to have a leader like Erika on our team.”
“It is important for organizations to develop a strong and diverse team of individuals, as well as encourage new talent to join the cybersecurity space, while staying true to their core values as they grow,” said Lance. “At KnowBe4, these DEI programs and initiatives are critical to help us become champions for diversity, equity and inclusion in everything that we do. I am grateful to Mogul for this recognition and look forward to even more new DEI-focused projects and resources in the future.”
